To ensure reliability, WebCrossing Core includes the following robust maintenance tools and backup and recovery features:
- Automatic backups. Automatic daily backup of your WebCrossing Core database.
- Roll-forward files. Maintenance of roll-forward files, which log all changes made to your server since the last backup. This file is text editable and can be used to "undo" any server change (moves, edits, deletes, setting changes, disastrous mistakes, etc.) since the last complete backup.
- Automatic recovery. Recovery is as simple as removing the current database. When the normal database is not found, WebCrossing Core simply locates the backup files and restores everything.
- Background Maintenance. Backup runs in the background, allowing the server to continue to be used during backup.
